Flaviana Matata has blazed trails as a Tanzanian beauty since the day she first set foot on the pageant stage to represent her native country back in 2007. 

At the time, not only was she the first to win the premiere edition of the Miss Universe Tanzania, but she was also the first to ever compete in the pageant with a shaved head.
