French Artist Patrick Norguet Upgrades Mickey D's In France! (PHOTOS)

The ubiquitous McDonald’s franchise put visual artist Patrick Norguet in charge of designing the new architectural identity for its restaurants in France.

That's right, America's favorite fast food restaurant is getting completely revamped!

McDonald's wanted to "get back to their roots" by having their restaurants look more family-oriented and less like an open cafeteria. The new layout is perfect for the social climate and requirements for a restaurant in France as well known as McDonald's.

The restaurant was given a very modern and technology savvy update. Hopefully all McDonald's will end up looking this way in the upcoming years.

Piloted at the start of the year in the Villefranche-de-Lauragais restaurant 40 km from Toulouse, the concept was immediately appealing. Six more McDonald's restaurants are currently being planned out to get revamped throughout France.

You can take a look at the updated fast food restaurant in the gallery above.
