When it comes to menswer, GQ definitely knows a thing or two.

The monthly magazine painstakingly puts together spreads that continuously influence the landscape of men’s style, so when it came time for them to pick the best new designers in menswear we would have to agree that they qualify as the best judges.

In the seven years that GQ has been picking new menswear designers to join the list, Alexander Wang, Marc McNairy, and Johan Lindeberg can all be counted as people who went on to be wildly scessful in their own right after making the list.

This year GQ has picked 4 more designers who they feel have made strong enough moves in the world of fashion to not only belong on the list but participate in the yearly collaboration that GQ does with Gap in October.

Matt Baldwin, who counts Jay-Z as one of his clients, made this year’s list for his work with his brand Baldwin.  Earnest Alexander Sabine and Brothers Liam & Sammy Fayed are both NY based designers who made the list for their brands Earnest Alexander and Bespoken respectively.  Additionally the California based Paige Mycoskie, whose brand, Aviator Nation, counts Jake Gyllenhaal and Robert Downey Jr. as repeat customers has also made the list.
