As Americans, we have seen just about every type of stamp design under the sun. From cartoon characters, to plant life and Presidents, the stamp has forever been used as a medium to promote things that were created in the Great U.S. of A.
Now, the UK is getting a little bit of shine for its stamp design by introducing the “Great British Fashion Stamp Set.” The collection of stamps features garments and styles from 10 local fashion houses, including Paul Smith, Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen. Each stamp was photographed by Sølve Sundsbø, leaving out the faces and hands of the models wearing them, in order to only showcase the clothing.
Our favorite of the bunch is the Alexander McQueen feather dress that was part of the last collection he designed before his untimely passing.
All of the other stamps are equally as amazing, but speak to us in different way.
