Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week joined amfAR to celebrate the kick off of New York’s largest media event last night!

The evening began with a ribbon cutting hosted by Mayor Bloomberg with fashion icons Michael Kors, Heidi Klum and amfAR honoree Kenneth Cole, followed by an exclusive VIP after party at SL.

Beloved New York designers and industry influencers were in attendance, including Derek Blasberg, Lily Donaldson, Cuba Gooding Jr. and Brad Goreski, to dance the night away and enjoy tunes from DJ Ruckus and DJ Dalton.

The amfAR festivities are the first of many shows, parties and events to celebrate Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, which lasts for eight more days, bringing together designers from around the world twice annually to showcase their newest collections to press, buyers and retailers.
