Posted November 28, 2012 by Jason Brooks for Global Grind Staff

Having a high-end designer lend their talent to postage stamps is not new in France.

Since 2000, La Poste has previously collaborated with designers including Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Lacroix, Chanel, Givenchy and Lanvin for their annual Valentine’s Day “Heart” collection.

For 2013, Hermès will be turning their “De tout coeur” scarf design by Zoé Pauwels into a stamp to give your French mail a little bit more style.

Although we only have the illustration of one stamp, this edition will mark the first time the Post Office will issue a sheet of five stamps with different designs. The illustrations incorporate images of swans, hearts, shooting stars and a lyre, instrument of the messenger god Hermès.

The stamps will be available exclusively at the postal service’s “Le Carre d’Encre” store in Paris on January 25th and 26th, before going on sale in all French post offices on January 28th.
