We all know by now that Rihanna isn’t afraid to make bold statements when it comes to her music or her clothing choices.

Whether she’s hitting Paris Fashion Week in a revealing cardigan or showing some underboob in Denmark, the Bajan beauty truly doesn’t give a damn about what anyone else has to say about her wardrobe.

She showed us just how unapologetic she is while out and about in Manchester yesterday sporting the $44 MadeMe Slutz crop top.

Before everyone gets up in arms about RiRi’s top – it’s a play off the snack food company, Utz – and creator Erin Magee had this to say to Fader about the scandalous shirt:

I TOTALLY EAT POTATO CHIPS. I love them morning, noon and night. But, more than that really, the idea behind the Slutz graphic comes from Riot Grrrl and feminist punk zines of the ’90s. The whole DIY humorous aesthetics of zine art is frequently a place of inspiration for my designs. When I made the Slutz top, I knew that most people wouldn’t take it from the feminist perspective I intended. It’s meant to be a small attempt at challenging traditional female roles, but still humorous, just like the zines themselves. The message should provoke questions like, why is it negative that women like to have a lot of sex? And why aren’t boys called sluts?…But hey, if you get it because you just like potato chips, then that’s cool too.

The bad gal wore hers with a backwards snapback, cat-eye sunnies and a badass pair of Rag & Bone moto trousers.

Also spotted was Melissa Forde wearing her bestie’s RiRi Boy lipstick from the Rihanna Hearts M.A.C. line while repping the Brooklyn Nets.

The BFF duo kills it every time.

And when you look as good as they do, there’s no need to apologize for being so fly.
