Iris Apfel may have been born in the height of the roaring twenties, but nothing about her personal style screams flapper; it's all modern all the time. 

Iris has front row at every fashion show, accessorized to the max, and still lands magazine covers. Oh yeah, and she is 91 years old.

The native New Yorker is gracing this month’s cover of Dazed & Confused in full-on COMME des Garçons, in celebration of the magazine’s art issue - a stellar choice considering Iris' long running affiliation with not only fashion, but textile and interior design.

The spread was shot by Jeff Bark at Apfel's home in Manhattan and styled by Robbie Spencer in Rei Kawakubo’s 2D collection. Lady Gaga was also seen out in the collection late last month amidst chatter about her body image.
