A few months ago there was a lot of heat and outcry against a Ugandan warlord name Joseph Kony who had an army of child soldiers and sex slaves. But just like too many other major issues that need our immediate action, the spotlight on KONY only lasted for a short period.
That's why we were beyond happy when we found out that the beautiful Jada Pinkett Smith is continuing her fight against the issue and using her platform to take a stand against the human trafficking that has plagued our society and so many others across the globe.
In a very touching clip, Jada strips down to her bare skin in a video called "Nada Se Compara (Wicked Evolution)," that stems from the Don't Sell Bodies organization, which fights against human trafficking.
In a video with E! News, Smith tells Giuliana Rancic that this isn't only a women's issue, but an issue that needs the attention of men as well:
"In order to combat this issue, we need our men. We need our soldiers. Let me tell you, I love girl power, but ain't nothin' like having some muscle behind you!"
In the United States, girls are trafficked as young as 11-years-old and most of the time, the trafficking is done by someone the victim knows. To become more active in your stand against human trafficking, visit the Don't Sell Bodies website.
