It looks like Janelle Monae isn’t in Kansas anymore, and she has proved that with her latest ensamble! The songstress slipped out of her usual attire of feminine tuxedos and coiffed hair for a new look.

Last night Monae attended the ASCAP Rhythm & Soul 3rd annual Women Behind the Music series in Atlanta in her usual all black, but with a new Puss In Boots inspired twist.

In lieu of her high hair, the Tightrope singer opted for a chic fall hat that played perfectly off of her dress coat that was cinched at the waist with a black leather belt.

Monee accessorized the look with black knee-high boots and a perfect red pout.
