Makes sense that Jay-Z and Kanye West turned to another beast for their album art.

The duo tapped Givenchy’s Creative Director Riccardo Tisci to design the cover of Watch The Throne, the long anticipated collabo recorded all over the world (Paris Abu Dhabi, London, etc.) by the hip-hop giants.

PHOTOS: Is This The Cover of Watch The Throne?

The image, from what we can tell, is a type of embossed metallic gold blanketing stars, diamonds and laurels similar to the motif used in Yeezy’s Dark Twisted Fantasy and previously, in Givenchy collections from A/W 2011. See our comparisons after the break.

Watch The Throne is on pre-order and is scheduled for release on August 2nd in three formats, including a deluxe edition.

Hours before the leak of the gold album, it was thought that the above image was the cover of Watch The Throne. Someone lost a lot of money on that bet.
