Jay-Z hit his blog yesterday to show his patriotic side for the 4th of July!

With a blog titled “Happy Independence Day," Jay ‘balled so hard’ that he wore black and white anchor socks to commemorate the day and his team, the Brooklyn Nets. He also wore army fatigue pants and green and white Nike’s. We love that he put his own little gangsta twist to the red, white and blue day.

In the background, Hov appears to be on a plane, but going where? We know his wife Beyonce is in Texas with her family for the holiday. Is Jay making a surprise visit?
