Justin Bieber really can’t catch a break.

Back in June 2012, in exchange for his “Believe” tattoo, Justin Bieber gave famous New York-based tattoo artist, Bang Bang, some ink of his own.

The platinum selling artist [and apparent amateur tatto artist] inked a picture of a muscle bound mouse with the word “Swaggy” next to it. To be quite frank, the drawing is terrible, but apparently Bang Bang is used to it. Over the years Chris Brown, Katy Perry and Amar’e Stoudemire have all tattoed Bang Bang.

But, here is where the problem lies: In the state of New York, it is illegal for someone to tattoo without a license – platinum selling artist or not.

The New York City Health Department could charge Bang Bang’s Lower East Side shop Bang Bang Tattoo Parlor $2,000 because of the newly publicized skin art.

In 2009, when Rihanna tattooed McCurdy and two other artists with the letter ‘R,’ the Health Department cited East Side Ink for “operating with an unlicensed tattoo artist on site.”
