It seems like much of the world slept through the entire Watch The Throne tour, either that or Kanye West was entirely out of his performance demographic element last night when he took the stage at the 12-12-12 Benefit Concert in Madison Square Garden.

See, Kanye brought his Watch The Throne leather skirt back into rotation, and well, the non-Kanye enthusiasts just couldn’t understand why this grown rapping man was wearing a pleated skirt over his pants.
Within a few minutes of hitting the stage, Twitter was ablaze with commentary courtesy of everyone from Jared Leto (who tweeted “Ok I admit it. I let Kanye borrow my skirt,” and got 1,500 retweets) to…you guessed it, Kanye’s very own skirt, which took center Twitter stage, tweeting jokes about the Givenchy get-up.
The Twitter account, named what else but @KanyesSkirt, cropped up and instantly gained more than 1,400 followers to ride along with its hilarity that included jokes about Yeezy’s family jewels, and of course Kim Kardashian.

But what’s the big deal, right? Women can wear pants; why not let Kanye continue to dance around in his lil Givenchy kilt. We don’t have to know what it means, we just need to know that Kanye wearing a skirt is provocative and it gets the people, and Twitter, going.
