Macy's annual Glamorama event took place this weekend in Minneapolis and many music artists and fashion designers showcased their talent.
The huge event raised money to benefit Children's Cancer Research Fund and was one gigantic ball, something Minnesota was proud to host! However, one thing that didn't seem to get the crowd hyped at all, was actually the debut of Karl Lagerfeld's Macy's line.
Lagerfeld agreed to have the forthcoming line shown for the first time at the Glamorama event and all eyes were on the prolific designer's new affordable collection.

WWD reports that the new capsule collection fell flat in the eyes of Minneapolis fans.
But it's not only in the Midwest that the line received no love, it seems that even in the Big Apple there is a lack of hype.
Ultimately fans were more excited to see the designs from Marc Jacobs, Jean Paul Gaultier, Sonia Rykiel and many more. Karl Lagerfeld's line for Macy's comes out in stores on August 31st, so until then, we can't determine if the new line's a flop, or hot.
We have much faith in Lagerfeld and all of his designs, so check out his amazing lookbook after the break!
