Antarctica is a long way from Florida!
Kate Upton, a Florida native, found that out first hand when landing the cover of the 2013 Sports Illustrated required that she pay a visit to the frozen continent.
While most people are probably familiar with the 220-page magazine and all of the beautiful models that traveled to all seven continents of the world for the issue, the video above gives a background look at how it all went down with the issue’s cover girl – Kate Upton.
While the first part of the video is silent, the second part features Kate taking about her experience and how she dealt with the frigid temperatures of Antarctica to get the perfect shot.
