Elle will be selling tons of magazines in August thanks to their cover girl and her current family problems.

Poor Katie! Katie Holmes Looks Devastated By Divorce In NYC 

Before news of the big TomKat split hit, Katie Holmes took to fashion tome Elle, and shared how she is bringing a fiercer side to her aura and her relationship with soon-to-be ex-husband, Tom Cruise.

The brunette wore a simple Tom Ford shirt with Holmes & Yang trousers on the cover, along with a very confusing expression. The actress looked like she was putting on a front and holding a lot back.

Not only do personal problems show up in the pictures, but Katie actually hints towards the divorce in the accompanying interview.

When asked about Tom, she replied:

"He has been Tom Cruise for 30 years, I know who I am and where I am and where I want to go, so far I want to focus on that." 

Holmes is trying to move on and come into her own:

"I feel sexier - it's like you're trying to hard to figure everything out...I'm starting to come into my own. It's like a new phase."

Katie is trying to stay positive throughout the messiness of her divorce; we wish her the best of luck.
