Twilight zone anyone?
Katy Perry admits to being stuck between a rock and a hard place when it comes to playing the nice guy in the September issue of ELLE UK.
Following speculation that she was dating Robert Pattinson, Katy told the magazine that she was forced to explain her side of the story to his ex-girlfriend Kristen Stewart.
Reports said that Kristen felt heartbroken after finding out that Katy and her on/off boyfriend had been hanging out, so naturally, Katy texted Kristen, explaining that their friendship is strictly platonic.
Katy divulged the text to ELLE:
I know you’ve seen all this stuff but you know I would never disrespect you. I’m not that person. I’m just trying to be a friend to him but it is unfortunate that I do have a set of t*ts.
She goes on to dish about her current relationship with singer John Mayer, which hit a rough patch in February:
He pulled away. That was a big hello for me. I realized I could lose the person I loved and I had to deal with some things, issues I think a lot of women have. You can be strong in one aspect of your life but submissive in another.
She admits to having a thing for challenging men, saying:
I’m not interested in taming anyone – I’m pretty wild myself.
We’ve seen Katy and Rihanna’s friendship blossom lately, and this is what she had to say about her love for RiRi:
I love her and every time I see her, I’m reminded of the light that she has. There’s a lot of dark in this business. I know a lot of people out there with the most detrimental entourages – they are the root of their demise. It’s really unfortunate but you can’t save these people. My days of celebrity saving are over!
