Posted June 12, 2012 by Jason Brooks for Global Grind Staff

The term Watch The Throne has just been taken to an entirely new level.

L.A.-based artist KAI recently previewed a few pictures from his "New Royalty" collection, wherein he depicts hip-hop "royalty" as actual royalty.

Included in the collection of artists are Eminem, Drake and Tupac, however we already get to see the portraits KAI has done of Kanye West, Jay-Z and even Sean "Diddy" Combs.

When discussing the collection's popularity, KAI says:

“I guess the ‘Now Royalty’ collection brought my art into a new light, which is going to be fun and will be interesting to see what happens. I hope it will open some creative doors for me. I just want to keep going back in the studio and create more work. Whatever comes of it, I’ll be thankful for.”
