The Salone del Mobile furniture fair is happening right now in Milan and furniture maker Kartell has gone rock 'n roll for the occasion.
The iconic Italian maker of fine furniture has gifted rock star Lenny Kravitz with the opportunity to give a complete upholstery update to the Mademoiselle chair originally designed for Kartell by Philippe Starck.
The updated Kravitz design re-upholsters the chair with different furs, leathers and exotic skins.
While explaining the chair, Lenny says:
“The Kravitz design take on the Mademoiselle chair is haute couture meets rock and roll.”
We can totally see it in the finished product, which is on display inside the Kartell flagship store on a black set suggestive of a stage ready to host a performance.
Take a look at the full line of chairs from the Kravitz collection in collaboration with Phillippe Starck for Kartell in the gallery above.
