The first time President Obama was inaugurated back in 2008, his daughters, Sasha and Malia, were 7 and 10, respectively. Now, the second time around, after their father served a 4 year presidency, the girls have evolved into young style stars following in their mother’s glamorous footsteps.

Malia and Sarah are always decked out in the finest of threads looking like well put together tweens, but not without intention we are sure.

While the girls are still a bit too young to be fair game for fashion critiques, they seem to be on the right track to being not only unintentional style stars, but to being well rounded young ladies as well.

With the Inauguration nearing, the girls’ style selections will be in the spotlight almost as much as their mom’s, for at least one night. Keeping this in mind, fashion news portal WWD broke down the names most likely to dress the FLOTUS on the big night, and those names include Michael Kors, Derek Lam, Naeem Khan, Marchesa’s Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig, Prabal Gurung, Jason Wu, Bibhu Mohapatra.

While they were swirling names in the “who will dress MO” pot, they asked designers from Chanel to Nanette Lepore to send in sketches of what they would dress the First Lady in.

Most complied, but brands like Tommy Hilfiger, Chanel and Nanette Lepore went the extra mile and served up some sketches for what they envisioned the girls to be decked out in as well. The looks ranged from all-American Tommy’s red blue and white look, to coordinating looks from Lepore.

Looks like the little first daughters are getting an open invitation to the fashion realm! Check out some of the sketches in the gallery above, and sit tight to see which designer will be a happy one this Monday.
