Marilyn Monroe is not only one of the most influential singers, models and actresses of all time, but more simply, an icon.
And even years after her passing she is still mimicked, honored, and talked about as if she were still around today.
With the 50th anniversary of her passing coming up on August 5th, Vanity Fair decided to put the legendary actress on the cover of their June issue.
Included in the issue is an exclusive interview, as well as never before seen bathing suit/nude photos with the late singer that she did in 1960 with Lawrence Schiller who photographed the intimate moments.
The concept of the shoot was for her to jump into the pool and emerge naked, but Marilyn died before the photos could ever be released.
She was taken from us at the height of her prime and entirely too soon. But it is remarkable that her presence is still very much alive today.
Marilyn Monroe is truly a timeless beauty and we can't wait until that issue hits the stands!
