Billionaire NYC mayor Mike Bloomberg has just thrown down $20 million for a beach cottage in the Hamptons, New York.
The beach cottage is a 22,000-square-foot Georgian mansion built in 1910 with 11 bedrooms, eight bathrooms and gardens designed by Fredrick Law Olmstead (who also designed Central Park).
It was originally on 200 acres, which were sold off over the years (the property is now just 35 acres), according to Curbed.
