Meet The Met Ball's Pattern Master: Solange Knowles (PHOTOS)

There's a saying: people who wear patterns can't be f-ed with. That's a good thing because patterns denote complex thinking about the world.

Which is why we loved singer and DJ Solange Knowles' look last night at the Annual Met Ball and opening of Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty.

For the opening, Solange chose a multi-patterned Dries Van Noten gown accessorized with a serious stare and big hair. It was not quite an Afro, but a suggestion of one. 

She looked awesome, as did her big sis Beyonce who also walked the red carpet with Jay-Z.
