Last night while the American population was tuned in to the 54th Annual Grammy Awards melting to the melodic voice of Adele, across the pond the songstresses' hometown was in all its glory.

The sixty-fifth annual British Academy Film awards, the BAFTAs, were held in London. Some of the biggest names from the blockbuster hits were in attendance including the gorgeous Melissa George, Brad Pitt, Meryl Streep, and The Help dynamic duo Octavia Spencer and the stunning Viola Davis.

Best actress went to Meryl Streep for her portrayal of the former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher in the award-winning Iron Lady, a category that Viola Davis beat her in at the SAG Awards just a few weeks earlier.

Best supporting actress went to Octavia Spencer for her role in The Help and now the countdown is down to the Oscars.
