Today is the day we have all been anticipating since the November election: President Barack Obama’s second inauguration in Washington D.C.

Since Obama snagged a second term of presidency, all the fashion forces have been pondering which designer the always well dressed First Lady Michelle Obama would don for the inaugural activities. And with the first day in full swing, we’ve got a glimpse of the FLOTUS and her girls in all their colorful glory.

Michelle Obama looked every bit the Presidential wife as she donned a custom designed patterned silk jacquard blue coat and dress from designer Thom Browne.

Malia and Sasha kept their looks colorful in purple coats by J.Crew and Kate Spade, complete with stunning smiles as they looked on proudly at their father. Sasha paired her pea coat with a pair of her mother’s leather gloves for a color block touch.

The first ladies also looked stunning yesterday as they took the stage at the Kids Inaugural Ball, keeping the fun in their looks with toned down colors and mis-matched prints. Michelle let her look shine in an Alexander McQueen Resort 2011 Victorian Shirt, paired with a $48 crystallized citrine belt from Anthropologie.

Yes, Michelle is in McQueen and the style stars have aligned.
