Last week, Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney took to the Hispanic TV network, Univision, in hopes of appealing to Latino voters with his newly noticeably tan features.

During his appearance, social media was abuzz with allegations that Mitt Romney applied a fake tanner in order to seem more visually appealing to Latino viewers.

Following his appearance, Univision investigated Romney’s suspiciously tan look for the night, and revealed the identity of the makeup artist that powdered Mitt’s nose as 25-year-old makeup veteran Lazz Rodriguez.

Lazz claims he simply used MAC Studio Fix powder plus foundation in NW30 on Romney, but does admit that the candidate was “tanner than he remembered.”

As reported by ABC:

“When he walked in, I remember thinking, ‘Wow this is tanner than I thought he was,’ but I think he’s just been outside a lot lately for his campaign. “It was definitely a real tan.”

He continues on, calling the concentration on the tan “sad,” saying:

“I also don’t want this to jeopardize a career I’ve worked so hard to build in this field. He was tan from being out in the sun on the campaign trail — that’s the only possible explanation.”

But of course, a very reputable tanning source, the infamous Tanning Mom, has had her bit to say about Mitt’s hue. In an exclusive interview with the Huffington Post she claimed:

“It’s fake. That’s so fake. It’s way too orange.”

And if there is one thing the Tanning Mom knows, it is her tans!

All jokes aside, Romney’s tan face is just a fun distraction from the very serious issues of the presidential campaign, so be sure to register to vote and make sure your voice is heard this November.
