If anyone mentions Glee right now, the first thing that’ll come to mind is the recent unfortunate passing of Cory Monteith.

But one of the cast members is giving Gleeks something to smile about. Naya Rivera, who plays lesbian cheerleader Santana Lopez, covers Complex Magazine’s August/September 2013 Issue, and Big Sean’s girlfriend is clearly playing all her cards right.

Styled by Taylor Jacobson, Rivera looks like casino royalty – definitely a big spender for the spread. With a black lip, thick brows, and luscious finger wave curls, it’s obvious she means business.

The white Georgio Armani suit with black trimming really sets off the rest of the looks. She also spices it up in a Dolce & Gabbana two-piece bra and underwear set, and gets flirty in an Emilio Pucci two-piece green halter top and pant.

Styled to perfection.

On why she loves Glee:

Having gay characters makes a difference, especially when you are a teenager and you need people to look up to. Your world feels so small. The tiniest thing can make you think, ‘I’m gonna die!’ I’m glad Glee is around for people dealing with something that big in such a small world. It’s important.

With her career on the steady incline, Rivera continues to make major moves. First thing’s first; she’s dating the super talented rapper Big Sean.

How does he feel about his leading lady? Big Sean says:

She’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me. She’s one of those people that you can connect to, and I think she’s going to be a superstar.

He may or may not have something to do with the debut album she’s dropping soon.

“If you were having a summer barbecue, this would be the perfect album to play,” she says.

And Naya is certainly down to earth:

On Friday nights, me and my friend Madison would stand outside the liquor store and bribe older people walking by to buy us wine coolers to drink while we watched The Notebook.

She’s a natural born star. Coming from a family of talented individuals, Naya had no choice but to make it. Her mother? Former model. Her sister? Currently a fashion model. Brother? Tight-end for the Oakland Raiders. She was destined to be something just as great.

“I want to be like Betty White—90 years old and still killing it,” she says.

This is why we love her. Check out the rest of the spread below!
