2013 is right around the corner and for most people, it means starting fresh. But for the sneaker community, it means that Nike will have yet another Air Max for the year. Since 1987, Air Maxes have been coming out on an annual basis.

Following the trend of just about every Air Max release from the past half decade, the first Air Max 2013 shoe to be released is in Nike’s signature “Volt” colorway. Don’t let the bright color fool you, the Air Max 2013 has some pretty sweet technological advances.

Highlighted by a reconstructed Max Air unit containing internal tubes with improved flexibility and minimized internal walls for better airflow, these new elements result in the most comfortable ride yet.

Additionally, a notched inner sleeve and dynamic Nike Flywire technology provide enhanced stability, making it the most advanced Air Max to date.
