Nike knows they're a very pivotal part to black culture. If you wanted to be cool at all growing up in the last two decades, you needed to have a fresh pair of Nikes.
From the Air Jordan to the Air Force 1, African American culture would not be what it is without the Nike.
In order to celebrate the culture that so often celebrates them, Nike will be releasing special edition items specifically for Black History Month.
Last month we showed you items from the Nike Serena Williams Black History Month collection, however now a full collection of Nikes will be released to celebrate the month. Included in the collection are both a Men's and Women's destroyer jacket, an Air Force 1, a t-shirt, and even a snapback. But that's not all.
The 3 Nike heavyweights releasing a solid run of special editions lately also have one being sold for Black History month. LeBron James has the Air Max LeBron 9, Kobe Bryant the Zoome Kobe VII and Kevin Durant the KD IV. Each shoe has been given a special edition BHM colorup and they all look really amazing.
Due out on February 11th, the entire collection can be seen in the gallery above.
