NIKE, Steve Jobs & Kurt Cobain Get Mashed Up (PHOTOS)

Posted March 21, 2011 by admin for Global Grind Staff

GlobalGrind was strolling around the LES yesterday when we came across some crazy street art: posters of Apple CEO Steve Jobs and dead rocker Kurt Cobain repping Nike on the side of a telephone booth.

The black and white, ink jet ads were in several telphone booths  scattered across the LES and SoHo and appeared to have been made by KATSU, a graffiti artist and vandal known for painting sides of buildings  with fire extinguishers.

In Japanese the word Katsu is uttered in reference to one's own enlightened state and/or to induce one to move beyond rationality or logic. More after the jump.
