Nike Basketball has unveiled key colorways celebrating its pinnacle players competing in the 2012 NBA All-Star Game in Orlando later this month.

Taking inspiration from space exploration, the collection features a galactic theme on the LeBron 9, Nike Zoom KD IV and Nike Zoom Kobe VII System.

Graphics pay homage to the supernova – arguably the most powerful force in the universe, while the outsoles glow in the dark and individual ‘mission patches’ adorn each shoe as a nod to the accolades astronauts receive.

Also included in the collection is the internationally accepted and locally respected Air Foamposite One. It features a galactic print upper just like the other shoes made for the All-Star game. Each shoe is appropriately nicknamed “The Galaxy” for the galactic print that is incorporated into each shoe.

Also releasing just in time for the All-Star Game is the “Space Exploration” pack. The shoes in the pack, which actually includes the Galaxy Foamposite One, all keep up the galactic theme with the interior of each shoe having the supernova-like print. The pack also includes three Nike Dunks and two Nike Flight Ones. The “Space Exploration” pack will be available on Thursday February 23rd and the All-Star Game pack will be available on the 24th.
