Nike played a big role at this year's Olympic games. In fact, so many athletes relied on Nike's elite technology to give them an edge that may not have been available in years past.
The good folks over at Crane.tv managed to get Nike's Olympic Global Design Director, Martin Lotti, to talk a bit about the innovations Nike made with the Olympic uniforms and shoes, and explain how they affected the athletes' performance.
The innovations have also trickled down to the store level, where the average consumer can purchase their own technology and get one step closer to performing like an Olympic athlete.
Olympic track and field legend, Carl Lewis, was also on hand to discuss the progression of the technology and how shoes have come such a long way since the inception of his relationship with the Nike brand.
You can take a look at the video above for a peek at a few of the items to come out of Nike's Research Lab for the 2012 London Olympics, as well as a break down of how beneficial they are for every athlete around the world - including yourself!
