Engineered Mesh is the newly developed textile from Nike that is said to not only be lighter, but have a more flexible construction and offer improved breathability. Nike chose to incorporate the Engineered Mesh into the Air Max 1, Air Max 90, Air Max 95 and Air Max 97 in their most popular colorways.
