Fashion Week is a busy time, and dammit, people have places to go! But when a show wraps and the star-studded crowd frees their hands of implanted cell phones to rise to their feet and applaud the designer, you know something special just took the runway.

This was the case at Naeem Khan’s presentation of his Fall 2013 collection. The Indian-born, American fashion designer hasn’t been in the game for long, but as the designer and CEO for his namesake brand, which was launched in 2003, the designer’s label has been on some of the best of the best, including Mrs. Michelle Obama.

For his stunning runway collection this season, Khan pulled out all the stops with glitz, glam and timeless opulence paired with flawless hair by Bumble and Bumble and makeup by NARS.

The theme for the collection was inspired by The Illustrations of 1920s Erte, and the presence of the glamorous era was on full display with embellished gowns, smart yet sexy necklines and bling that would make Taylor Swift smile.

Naeem did the impossible; he perfected 47 looks that floated to the sounds of Little Dragon; evoked oohs and ahhs from the crowd during day 6 of Fashion Week (hard to do when we have seen it all!), and with awards season in full swing, we can only guess that his phone is blaring off the handle with pull requests already.

This was by far one of our favorite showings this season.

Trends spotted: heavily embroidered gowns, beaded, appliquéd and lace stamped gowns, red, retro, red carpet ready looks.

Faces in the front row: Matt Damon, Taraji P. Henson, Vanessa Hudgens, Rachel Roy, Shay Mitchell and more

Our rating: 10 out of 10. Every single look on the runway made us all feel like we needed to book a fancy night out, stat.

Our favorite look: Head to toe bling is hard to pass up, but it would have to be the red sleeveless Georgette Trapeze gown.
