Design Student Brings Disney Characters to Life
"Rapunzel from Tangled"
Jirka Vinse Jonatan Väätäinen, a graphic design student at the Arts University College of Bournemouth, has put together an interesting portfolio of his design work: bringing Disney female characters to life!
STORY: Artists Turn to IPad for Inspiration!
The portraits are stunning and include some of our favorite characters such as Belle from Beauty and the Beast, Pocahontas and Jasmine from Aladdin.
Each character is presented as what Jirka envisions them to be in “real life."
He began working on the project back in April, starting with his favorite Disney villain, Ursula from The Little Mermaid. By using Photoshop, Jirka has been able to create “real life” versions of the various Disney characters.
Since April 2011, his collection has received over 100,000 notes and 20,000 visits!
We can’t wait to see what other characters he brings “to life."
