Louis Vuitton is no stranger to artist collaborations. One of their most famous collections came with their multicolored monogrammed bags in collabo with artist Takashi Murakami.

The latest in Louis Vuitton collaborations will be with Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama, known for her polka dot artwork. 82-year-old Kusama has received recognition for her artwork as late as 2010, with German auto manufacturer Audi using her polka dot work to help celebrate their 100 year anniversary in an exhibit in Japan.

The Vuitton limited collection will feature Kusama’s strange landscape of oblong shapes and polka dots of various sizes on Louis Vuitton apparel, accessories, footwear, timepiece, jewelry and leather goods.

The collection will also coincide with a major retrospective of Kusama, now traveling from Paris’ Centre Pompidou to Tate London of London before ending in New York City’s Whitney Museum.

While you begin the countdown to being able to purchase a polka dot Vuitton Speedy, you can take a look at some of Yayoi Kusama’s artwork in the gallery above, as well as some of Louis Vuitton’s past collaborations!
