Rag & Bone & Kate Moss Get In Touch With Their UK Roots For Fall/Winter 2013 (PHOTOS)

Posted January 28, 2013 by Jason Brooks for Global Grind Staff

Kate Moss has more in common with Rag & Bone than just modeling for their brand.

Although the company's roots are in New York, R&B founders David Neville and Marcus Wainwright are both Brits like Kate. Most people are not even aware that the term "rag and bone," is an old British phrase for a peddler who'd sell scavenged trinkets! We aren't sure how scavenged they are, but we have grown to love Rag & Bone's trinkets.

For their Fall 2012 ad campaign, Rag & Bone went back to the UK to get in touch with their roots and used the world's most famous model to help with the undertaking. Alasdair McLellan shot Kate Moss in the small town of Southrop, Gloucestershire, which seemed perfect for Marcus Wainwright, who described the location:

"Kate happens to have an affinity for [the village]. It was also a fun play on our British heritage."
