Last night things got exclusive, as the kick off to the 26th Annual ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, CA rolled out the red carpet.

The invitation-only awards celebration honors the songwriters and publishers of the most performed ASCAP songs on the 2012 R&B/Hip-Hop, Rap and Gospel charts, and the red carpet was star studded to say the least.

Newer acts like Elle Varner, Melanie Fiona and Kendrick Lamar walked the carpet with veterans like Jermaine Dupri and Usher. Kendrick Lamar was on the scene to receive the ASCAP Vanguard Award, and Usher was the recipient of the ASCAP Golden Note Award.

Check out who wore what on the red carpet below.

Kendrick Lamar opted for a red hoodie and harem sweats as he kept it casual on the red carpet.

Ne-Yo went for a rapper look with gold teeth and chains paired with leather shorts. Justin Bieber may or may not have styled him.

Mike Will Made It…to the red carpet in a red version of Ne-Yo’s leather shorts.

2 Chainz gave his necklaces a rest as he suited up in all black. Very dapper.

Lyfe Jennings kept it simple in a polo style shirt and jeans.

Kelly Price looked ravishing in purple.

Elle Varner brought out the fro in a pink leather dress.

Jermaine Dupri had to let the world know how to get his name right.

And last but not least, Melanie Fiona looked stunning and natural in a bra top and high waist pants.
