The most glamorous event of the year is finally upon us!
Stars, designers, models and actors alike are taking the red carpet at the “Schiaparelli And Prada: Impossible Conversations” themed Met Gala as the world watches from the first ever live-stream of the gala’s red carpet.

Paula Patton arrived on the arm of Vera Wang wearing a beautiful blush pink floor length gown, while stars like “Glee’s” Lea Michelle went for a darker look leaving the metallic to Michael Kor’s date, Jessica Alba, and the dramatics to actress Christina Ricci.
Of course it isn’t a fashion event until Marc Jacobs shows up in an outlandish number, and the designer never upsets. Marc took the red carpet in a black lace gown giving the ladies a run for their Met Gala money.

Speaking of funding, at $25,000 a ticket, Anna Wintour (who showed up in Prada’s homage to Schiaparelli) has noted that this year’s Met Gala has raised $11 million dollars making this the biggest costume gala ever.
