Reiss Sold $8.5 Million In Dresses Thanks To Kate Middleton! (DETAILS)

Posted December 29, 2011 by Courtney Whitaker for Global Grind Staff

Clothing chain Reiss is on a royal high this holiday season thanks to Kate Middleton.

According to recent documentation, the company’s operating profits jumped from $4.3 million to $8.5 million within this fiscal year.

We think Reiss owes it to Duchess Kate, who wore two of the design house's dresses, one in her engagement photos and another when she met Michelle Obama, causing both dresses to sell out in a shopping frenzy.

Not only did the UK brand gain tons of recognition because of Kate, it also opened its first outlet store in New York!

Reiss hasn't stated whether or not Kate is the factor behind their new revenue bliss, but we can only assume she has something to do with it!

We're sure clothing companies around the world are knocking on Buckingham Palace's door as we speak.
