Rita Ora is one of the new leaders of the latest British Invasion, but she’s also made a name for herself here in the States.
Now, we have a preview of Rita’s spread in the February issue of Out Magazine, where we get a chance to hear how Miss Rita felt when she first met Jay-Z and when she performed in front of Beyonce. The 22-year-old also touches a bit on her style, which is definitely much more feminine for the spread than we are used to from the British pop star.
“Growing up, I would usually just be like one of the boys. I became kind of a sneakerhead.”

Rita describes how she felt when she performed “Say My Name” in front of Beyonce:
“I was singing ‘Say My Name,’ and I was nervous because it was in front of the queen! She did give me the stamp of approval at the end.”
Rita on her relationship with Jay-Z:
“He raised me a little bit. It’s very much of a family feeling.”
