When one thinks of the Louvre, thoughts of art come to mind. The Mona Lisa is the Louvre’s main attraction, however last night a few other works of art were getting some attention at the Parisian Museum. Salvatore Ferragamo hosted the first ever fashion show in the Louvre and the stars were out for the history-making event.

Hilary Swank, Freida Pinto and  Leighton Meester were some of the stars on hand, however the real stars of the show were Karolina Kurkova, Fei Fei Sun, Isabeli Fontani and Jamie Bochert who modeled the clothing down the runway for the 2013 Resort collection.

Tans, whites, browns and a lot of sparkle made up the color palate of the collection that seemed to also have a 70’s hippie inspired creative direction. You can thank Salvatore Ferragamo’s creative director, Massimiliano Giornetti, for the beautiful garments that came down the runway and if you would like to take a look at the collection, look no further than the gallery above. You won’t be disappointed.
