When it comes to her personality, Gilf is hardly what one would describe as a savage street artist. With a soft-spoken demeanor and chill vibe, it is hard to imagine the Brooklyn resident donning a hoodie and throwing up pieces in alleys, but her artistry says otherwise.

The brunette's artistry is motivated by the idea of inspiring people without ever meeting them and creating unexpected beauty from controversy.

GlobalGrind had the opportunity to catch up with Gilf at her Brooklyn studio to learn a little more about her craft, and documented it in the video below.

Tonight, Wednesday June 27th, to celebrate the launch of the new film Savages, GlobalGrind will feature custom artwork based on the movie by Gilf.
