Actress Ashley Judd appeared on "The Tavis Smiley Show" last week and  discussed the fallout over her comments about hip-hop and rape culture in her memoir "All That Is Bitter And Sweet."

Judd sat with Smiley with her shoes off and explained her comments which read in part "most rap and hip-hop music — with its rape culture and insanely abusive lyrics and depictions of girls and women as ‘ho’s’ — is the contemporary soundtrack of misogyny."

Judd went on "The Tavis Smiley Show" to apologize and discuss her comments, thus explaining that after speaking to the likes of Questlove, she could have expressed herself better.
