Last night's Independent Spirit Awards was the last of the last movie award shows leading up to tonight's Oscars.

In a change of pace from the more formal red carpet events, the brief 2-hour Spirit Awards were held midday in a giant white tent in sunny Santa Monica, Calif.

Stars in attendance opted for less glitz and glam as they attended the midday soiree, but that didn't stop the men from bringing out their finest suits.

Former Disney star Zac Efron looked well polished in a black suit, while Terrence Howard opted for a navy number to match the blazer that his new girlfriend was wearing while he showed her off on the red carpet.

Even the ladies in attendance opted for suits as winner Michelle Williams arrived in an almost too-short tuxedo outfit.
