Spike Lee has been working with Nike for decades. He always seems to either get sneakers early, or have special one of one versions made just for him to help root on his favorite team: the New York Knicks.
When it comes to being a super-fan, Spike is the biggest one, so when his favorite NBA team made it all the way to the playoffs for the first time in years, it was only fitting that Nike blessed the Red Hook Summer director with his own special edition version of Nike's most coveted shoe: the Foamposite.
Spike took to Twitter to show off his 1 of 1 orange and blue "Knicks" Foamposites. We may not ever see Spike wear these though. Along with one of the pictures he tweeted:
Game 4-Madison Square Garden. World's Most Famous Arena
Could this mean that he won't wear the special edition kicks unless the Knicks make it to Game 4 versus the Miami Heat? We don't know but be sure to look out for his footwear in Game 3 happening tomorrow night (May 3rd) at 7pm.
