White was the color of the night, as two of the biggest country music stars in the industry walked the red carpet at the 2012 American Country Music Awards.

After cleaning house at the Kids' Choice Awards on Saturday, America's sweetheart Taylor Swift glammed up to hit the red carpet for the music awards show.

Looking much more grown up and sexy then usual, Taylor donned a form fitting white gown with gold trims and laser cut panels on the sides.

Instead of her normal perfectly coiffed curls, Taylor opted for pin straight locks with bangs.

Also wearing the color of the season was former American Idol girl, Carrie Underwood. The songstress looked stunning in a multi-paneled white gown with a daring thigh-high split. Carrie topped off her look with loose curls swept to the side and a pair of metallic pumps.
