When Selena Gomez was named Glamour Magazine's "Woman of the Year," we learned a lot about the Disney starlet's involvement in charity, most importantly in charities such as UNICEF, where Selena is one of the youngest ambassadors.

Last night Miss Gomez was celebrated, as her efforts, and those of others, came full circle the UNICEF Snowflake Ball. Attended by the likes of Selena, Katy Perry, Uma Thurman and a plethora of other celebs this year, the ball celebrated the lighting of the UNICEF Snowflakes to honor those whose philanthropic commitments save children’s lives.

For the occasion, Selena donned a backless Dolce & Gabbana dress, while Katy kept it classy in a caped Naeem Khan dress. 

Since its debut 8 years ago, the UNICEF Snowflake Ball has raised over $16 Million for UNICEF’s lifesaving programs all over the globe.

Kudos to the ladies for looking good for a good cause.
