The 22-year-old actress — she’s the younger sister of the child stars turned clothing designers Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen — had the most fashionable of excuse for running late for her NY Times profile: Karl Lagerfeld.

The Chanel designer had been shooting Olsen for a coffee table book, and the photo session had gone long. Lizzie revealed that she modeled an oversize classic Chanel tweed jacket for him.

Lizzie has seen acclimation from multiple fashion portals, including the cover of this month’s NYLON Magazine and her first film, Martha Marcy May Marlene hasn’t even hit the big screen yet.

With a face so similar to her set of sisters, Lizzie is making sure to stand out, and a shoot with Lagerfeld is the most prominent way to announce her arrival as more than just the Olsen Twins’ little sister.
